Anna Scotti's poetry can be found in many current literary

journals. She has been awarded a number of prizes

and awards for poetry, some of which are noted on the "honors" page

of this site. In 2020, Anna's collection Bewildered by All This Broken

Sky was awarded the inaugural Lightscatter Prize and was the

recipient of multiple prestigious nominations.



Anna's short stories are regulars in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine

and are widely published elsewhere. Her work has been included in

The Best Mystery Stories of the Year (Mysterious Press) three times

and has been nominated for many industry honors, including the

Macavity, the Derringer, and the Thriller awards. She has earned

multiple nominations for the Ellery Queen Readers Choice Awards

Anna's young adult novel, BIG and BAD, was awarded the Paterson

Prize for Books for Young Adult Readers and took second in the Clay

Reynolds Prize offered by Texas Review Press.

A  former journalist, Anna has written for national and regional

magazines including InStyle, People, The Los Angeles Times

Traveling in Style, Bon Appetit, Los Angeles, Redbook, Good

Housekeeping, Ladies' Home Journal, YM, and Sugar. She was a

foreign correspondent for WhoWeekly (Australia) and a columnist for

the late, great Buzz: The Talk of Los Angeles.
