Anna Scotti is a poet, writer, teacher, and public speaker living in Southern California. A former journalist, she has written for national and regional magazines including InStyle, People, The Los Angeles Times Traveling in Style, Bon Appetit, Los Angeles, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Ladies' Home Journal, YM, and Sugar. She was a foreign correspondent for WhoWeekly (Australia) and a columnist for the late, great Buzz: The Talk of Los Angeles.
Anna teaches English and history. An instructor at a French International School in Los Angeles for the past six years, she has taught at top CAIS independent schools, in programs for highly and profoundly gifted children, in ESL-ELL programs, and at an Orthodox yeshiva. Anna holds an MFA in creative writing from Antioch University and a BA from Antioch College, with additional coursework from Golden Gate University, Los Angeles Unified School District, The Smithsonian Institution, The Getty Museum, Teachers College Columbia University, University of California San Diego, and other institutions. Anna's young adult novel Big and Bad, will be published in January, 2020, by Texas Review Press. She is also working on a collection of poetry. Anna offers exciting, fun, and extremely productive seminars on grammar, writing mechanics, and business English to corporations and other groups.
